It's a year today since I had my operation and although my weight loss has not been all that fantastic I have had some major positive outcomes:
1. I've lost a total of 24.2kg
2. I've lost over 90cm
3. I'm back playing sport (and lived to tell the tale) which I never thought would be achievable
4. I am much more positive about my future
5. I no longer take medication for diabetes
6. My joints are not screaming at me as much...and I can get out of a chair without cringing!
7. I'm no longer the fattest chick in the room - Yes I still check that out!
8. I've gone from a size 26 to a size 18-20!
I'd just like to thank all those people who have supported me from day one. An especially big thanks to Myf, Tina, Karen S and Sue H, Mel & Diz - you have no idea how much your comments boosted me and pushed me along when I needed it most.
On to the next 20kg now - can't wait!

Hey, look at those stats - that's an average of 2 kg a month or more - we can't really expect more than that even though we want it all off now! Can't wait to follow your progress over the next 12 months.
Mel
I've just read thru your earlier blogs. OMG, we really had no idea what we were letting ourselves in for did we! And I cant believe it has been one year.
As self-appointed leader of your cheer squad, I'd like to send a big thanks to the rest of the support team. We really are wonderful people!
xxx K.
Here! Here!. What an amazing journey you have undertaken in the last 12 months - gosh time flies. Those stats are great - (baby talk again) - your weight loss is the equivalent of 7 average sized babies in weight and almost a metre or 3 feet!!!! (or the length of 2 average length babies). Do you realise your godson was 3700g born - so that makes your weight loss x 6.5 baby Matt's.
As usual, keep strong and lots of love from afar.
Kathy you really are amazing you know! You have done so well in the past year. Not only lost a huge amount of weight but look at your life now you have had so many positive changes in your life. I am soooo proud of you.
Also i just love the way Sue H puts it all into prospective with her how many babies talk. Thanks Sue :O)
Oh and by the way i think if we are all honest with ourselves we all look to see if we are still the fattest chick in the room. I know i do. lol :O)
Cheers Tina xxx ooo
I am ridiculously, absurdly proud of you.
