Well the fundraiser was an outstanding success! They raised $12,200! in one night - how's that! We needed $13,000 for both hoists and with the money already raised before the night we will have exceeded this amount!
So - as my other friend has already organised a trivia night in Dubbo for the cause we are looking at getting a hoist for the pool as well - this up till now was only ever a dream! How lucky we are to have such wonderful friends and a very supportive community around us. You only ever hear bad things about Wellington and Dubbo but hey the good people are there just not making the news!!!

- Life is not a dress rehearsal. The game keeps on going whether you actively participate or not... you can't win if you keep walking off the field. Each day is important. You can't be nasty, mean-spirited and selfish and kid yourself that it's just a practice run, that in your real life you'll be a decent person. This is not a dress rehearsal: This is your life !

What great news!! Good ol' Wello and Dubbo. Cheers to everyone involved. Great job. How wonderful that you can get the other hoist - gosh you guys won't know yourselves (and your backs will thank you). I am so chuffed (scottish for happy and excited).
